Biography
Dr. Robert Iadevaio is a board-certified anesthesiologist with subspecialty certification in pain medicine. He practices at South Island Orthopedics, where he evaluates and treats patients with acute and chronic pain. In this role, he draws on his extensive background in anesthesiology and pain medicine to evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic pain using evidence-based medical and interventional approaches.
He has served the Cedarhurst community for more than two decades, holding leadership positions including Chief of Pain Management at Mercy Hospital, Co-Director of Pain Management at the Long Island Spine Center at South Nassau Communities Hospital, and Chair of the hospital’s Pain Management Committee. He is also an active member of the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists (NYSSA), serving on its Pain Management Committee and as District VIII Delegate.
Dr. Iadevaio completed his fellowship in Pain Management at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, followed by residency training in Anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center and Internal Medicine at Winthrop University Hospital. He earned his medical degree from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn and his undergraduate degree from Adelphi University, where he graduated magna cum laude.
With decades of academic, clinical, and leadership experience, Dr. Iadevaio provides specialized services that reflect his extensive training and experience in anesthesiology and interventional pain medicine.
