Biography
Elana Lifshitz, PA-C, is a certified orthopedic physician assistant who provides comprehensive care at South Island Orthopedics in Nassau County. She performs orthopedic evaluations and develops treatment plans for both non-surgical and post-operative care. Elana has experience treating fractures, joint pain, and post-procedure recovery. She works closely with orthopedic surgeons to support patients from their initial visit through follow-up care.
PA Lifshitz brings nearly a decade of experience in both inpatient and outpatient orthopedic settings, with strong hands-on skills in managing acute injuries and performing procedures such as casting, splinting, and joint injections. She supports treatment planning through diagnostic imaging and clinical evaluation and contributes to pre-operative education for patients undergoing orthopedic procedures.
She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Touro College and holds a bachelor’s degree from Queens College. Her training across emergency medicine, general surgery, pediatrics, and women’s health supports a well-rounded approach to patient care.
PA Lifshitz is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and has successfully completed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE). She also maintains certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), along with infection control training.
