Board-certified pediatric orthopedic surgeon and New York native, Dr. David Godfried has practiced for more than 20 years in Nassau County and New York City, specializing in pediatric orthopedics.

After graduating from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons Medical School, Dr. Godfried completed his residency and fellowships at the University of Minnesota, Shriners Hospital for Children and The Children’s Memorial Medical Center at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. During his time at these prestigious children’s hospitals, he developed advanced capabilities in caring for Nassau County’s smallest patients, making even the most complex treatments kid-friendly.

Dr. Godfried’s professional experience as a pediatric orthopedic surgeon in New York includes serving as Director of the Center for Children and the Ignacio Ponseti Clubfoot Center at the NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital and Chief of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Division at Northwell Health’s Children’s Hospital, as serving as an instructor of orthopedic surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago.

Dr. Godfried has been actively involved in research and teaching for his entire career, most recently as an Associate Clinical Professor of Orthopedics and Pediatrics at the NYU School of Medicine. He is committed to providing exceptional care for children and adolescents in an environment that is both child and family friendly.
