Biography
As a certified orthopedic physician assistant at South Island Orthopedics, Kerri-Ann Giambruno, PA-C provides comprehensive orthopedic and sports medicine care to patients across Nassau & Suffolk County, Long Island. With offices in Cedarhurst and Rockville Centre, she plays an integral role in diagnosing and treating joint pain, sports injuries, fractures, and a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.
PA. Giambruno’s connection to South Island Orthopedics runs deep. Before becoming a physician assistant, she was part of the SIO team as a Registered Orthopedic Technologist and Medical Assistant, assisting physicians during procedures, applying and removing casts, preparing joint injections under sterile conditions, and educating patients on postoperative care and bracing protocols. This hands-on experience gave her a strong foundation in patient care and orthopedic procedures long before earning her advanced degree.
Earning a Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Pittsburgh, PA. Giambruno graduated with a 3.9 GPA and was inducted into Pi Alpha, the national honor society for physician assistants. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, providing her with a well versed background in human movement and rehabilitation science.
PA Giambruno holds certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association and maintains professional affiliations with the American Academy of Physician Associates and the American Society of Orthopedic Professionals.
