Lee M. Kupersmith, MD

Born and raised in Northport, NY, Dr. Lee Kupersmith is a board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and wrist procedures. Dr. Kupersmith is committed to providing the best possible care for every patient, whether they have a common wrist and hand problems or fractures or have experienced significant trauma. He has a particular interest in treating carpal tunnel syndrome and trigger finger.

A fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (FAAOS), Dr. Kupersmith is a leading hand surgeon in Long Island. He graduated with honors and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa at SUNY Binghamton, and earned his medical degree from SUNY Upstate in Syracuse. He completed his residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, where he worked under world-renowned hand surgeons Dr. Dempsey Springfield and Dr. Michael Hausman.

When he’s not in the operating room, Dr. Kupersmith enjoys spending time with his family— especially at New York Islanders games—fishing, and coaching roller hockey. An avid traveler, he enjoys escaping Nassau County winters to the sunny Caribbean whenever he can.
